Boutique workplace and commercial disputes law firm Bellevue Law has marked a milestone moment, welcoming the team from respected employment law specialists Worden Richmond and announcing a move to new central London offices, alongside a brand refresh.

Experts + Experience

Worden Richmond’s team, including name partners Alexandra Worden and Catherine Richmond, along with consultant Paula New, have joined Bellevue Law. The move brings together two of the UK’s most highly regarded workplace law teams, deepening the firm’s expertise across key sectors including financial and professional services, higher education, and life sciences.

Alex, Catherine and Bellevue Law’s founder, Florence Brocklesby, all started their legal careers together at Freshfields in the late 1990s. After years of collaboration and a shared approach to law, this new chapter builds on a long and trusted relationship.

Florence said:

“There’s a huge alignment between our values and ways of working, which is why we’ve worked so closely with Alex and Catherine over the years. I have enormous respect for them, both professionally and personally, and I’m delighted they and Paula are joining the Bellevue Law team. Their arrival is great news for our clients, who will benefit from their depth of experience and expertise.”

The move gives the Worden Richmond team space to focus on what they love.

Alex Worden said:

“Joining Bellevue Law gives us the freedom to focus on supporting our clients, practising law and doing meaningful work, without the daily responsibilities of running a firm. We’re proud to join a team that shares our values and standards.”

Catherine Richmond added:

“I’ve always loved what I do, and this move gives Alex, Paula and me a great foundation to continue supporting our brilliant clients. Together, our combined experience offers a strong proposition for those navigating complex employment matters.”

Bellevue Law and Worden Richmond are both known for combining City quality employment law and dispute resolution services with bespoke, personalised service delivered by senior lawyers. The new team will bring Bellevue Law’s employment law team to twenty partner-level lawyers, one of the largest teams in the UK.

Boutique + Central

Alongside this, Bellevue Law has announced a move to new offices in Dallington Street in Clerkenwell, creating a central hub for its people and clients. The new space reflects the firm’s continued growth and its popularity with clients, including multinational corporations, professional services firms, entrepreneurs, senior executives and partners looking for City-standard advice delivered pragmatically and with empathy. It also provides the B Corp certified firm with a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly workspace.

Florence said:

“I started Bellevue Law 11 years ago from my garden office, as a mother of young children wanting to work flexibly without compromising on the quality of my legal work. At the time, I could not have imagined how strongly this model would resonate with talented lawyers and clients alike.

“We’ve grown by doing things differently – offering flexibility and autonomy to our team and high-quality, holistic support to our clients alongside a deep-rooted commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices. This new office in the centre of London allows us space for further collaboration and growth.”
